Wedding Bands and Wedding Musicians in the UK are very well organised and packaged. However good and professional they are, unfortunately the can only perform about approximately sixteen weddings a year as most wedding dates are on Saturdays in summer.

This article is to encourage bride and bridegrooms to also get married on a Friday. I figure Friday is an excellent day as most people are not working on a Saturday anyway. It also gives the guests and additional day to nurse the wedding hangover and dancing muscles  This actually gives the couple a much greater choice of available acts. Couples can also ask for a discount of 20%  to book a band, classical or jazz ensemble, if they are getting married on a Sunday. Unless of course its a Jewish Wedding Band who will charge premium rates to perform on a Sunday.

Jewish wedding bands actually cost almost double the price of regular wedding bands and musicians.I guess its because there are fewer of them and a much greater demand for them. However a Jewish Wedding Band is usually large 8 – 12 musicians. There is absolutely no demand for a small Jewish Band. I have no idea why this is. I do notice there is a demand for smaller bands for the bar mitzvah parties.

Lets get back to getting married on a Friday, it will also automatically give you a better chance of negotiating a better price on a wedding venue as well.
